Introduction
Good, beautiful day, beautiful, beautiful souls! This is Charla Anderson, host of the Charla Anderson Show~Collector & Connector of Fascinating People (& EVERYONE is Fascinating!), especially you.
My guest today suffered a massive stroke at age 25 that left her mute, paralyzed, and debilitated. And she had just earned double majors and was on her planned career path. Then she discovered foods that changed everything. And we’ve got Maria Garcia is going to share her wisdom and how she’s learned to heal through foods and other modalities besides the systems out there. Anyway,
โฆBUT FIRSTโฆ
We’re going to have our little 22-second mini vacation. We’re going to have a little breathing exercise. We’re going to breathe in some calm for seven seconds, hold for four seconds, and breathe out gratitude for 11 seconds. So let’s take our little be still and know moment. Here we go. Breathe in some calm. Hold. Relax, release. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
Sometimes it just helps to get centred and, you know, take that mini vacation. We should probably do it multiple times a day because we’re so connected on our phones and not so much with ourselves. Right? Okay. So Maria Garcia, welcome, welcome, welcome. I’m so happy to have you here. And we will talk about a lot of things because you’re an overcomer’s overcomer, right? And so, I mean, I can’t even imagine your life, how crazy your life changed in one split second there.ย
So we met through the Change book series, which you’re not even in yet. I mean, the volume is being created right now but we met in the mastermind of the Change with Les Brown on the cover. I mean, he’s not on the cover. I don’t think he’s on the cover of yours. Mine was the last one. Les Brown was actually on the cover of it, but Jim Lutz and Jim Brit are brilliant, I mean. I mean, we’re talking about Tony Robbins’ first coach and all that.ย
These guys are producing a book. And if you have an interest in having that kind of credibility factor book in you, contact either one of us, whoever hears and whoever you know, because it is an incredibly valuable tool. Not just that, but also the mastermind every month and personalized coaching beyond awesome. Highly valuable anyway. So, Maria, welcome you to cold, cold, cold New Jersey. I’m in prettyย Texas.
Welcome, welcome, welcome. So you know, I want to just let you kind of introduce who you are in this world and what’s going on and and and who what you want us to know about you and then we’ll talk about your story and everything else
Okay, so first of all, I want to say thank you for having you on the show. This is a pleasure. And the breathing was amazing. It helped me. So thank you.
Great. So who are you in this world? Obviously, 25 is pretty young to have that kind of a debilitating stroke. So before that, you were on a path. And who are you in this world? And then how has that defined you?
So in a nutshell, I was working in corporate America. I was on the path to becoming a broker. And one day I was at my house, and all of a sudden I started seeing things that made no sense. Things like the red ocean underneath the kitchen floor. And then I thought to myself, did I just say that? I was like watching somebody else say it. That’s what it felt like. And I was on the phone at that time. And I finally managed to get off and say, I feel something’s wrong. And I just, as soon as I got off the phone, I felt like somebody went, boom, cast-iron pan to the head. And I fell in the fetal position with the worst headache ever had. And everybody thought I had food poisoning. I had a friend of mine in the other room. He came in. He saw what was going on, called my mother, who was living upstairs at the time.ย

Yada, yada. I’ll skip over a little bit of this part. But finally, at the hospital, after a few tests, somebody walks over to me and says, Miss, we think you’re having a stroke. And I was like, so much for food poisoning, but with a stroke. I had never even heard of the word. It wasn’t in my vocab. So within 24 hours, I was paralyzed from the nose down. So I was quadriplegic, and I was also mute. And I was like that for two weeks. Before anybody even realized that I was conscious and hearing everything and seeing everything.
So that’s amazing. So you were listening and hearing and knowing. They’re talking about you all the time and thinking you can’t hear. That’s got to be weird. And I’m sure you heard some things you wish you hadn’t. Or they wish they hadn’t said or whatever. So be careful what you say around somebody who… I mean, that’s a big lesson, actually. Be careful about what you say around people in a coma or anything. I believe that there are a lot of times they can actually discern what’s going on. So that’s just a side on my opinion there. So you were in the hospital two and a half weeks.
You find out you’ve had a stroke. They find out that you can actually hear and you just can’t speak. You can’t eat. You can’t communicate. You can’t move anything, but your eyes, I’m guessing for the most part.
Yeah.
Right.
My eyes. That’s how I communicated. Blink once for yes, twice for no.
Wow. I mean, I can’t even fathom that at that. I mean, you’re on your career path. You’re out in the world. You’re doing your thing. You’ve done the work to get the majors. You know, here you are. And you’re in bed and paralyzed. So how long? What happened? I mean, how long were you in that, like in the hospital and all that? How long did that take?
I was in two different hospitals. It was a four-month journey at the hospital but of course silly me right i because i had no concept of stroke i didn’t know what a stroke was i thought that when i went home i would be perfectly fine just the way it was before not knowing what a mountain they had me so i finally went home after four months because insurance ran out that’s how it works in america Right. So I went home in a wheelchair. In diapers. Going to go to outpatient therapy because they wouldn’t take me until I was potty-trained. So I was having care at home. And just…
How can you be potty-trained if you’re completely paralyzed?
Well, when I went home, I was in a wheelchair. So I was already moving I began moving my index finger about half a centimeter. But that eventually became, by the time I got home, I was in a wheelchair. And I couldn’t walk on my own, but I wasn’t paralyzed.
Oh, that’s good.
Yeah, I didn’t have the use of my left arm, I believe. But I could walk. With aid, with help, if I had people standing on either side, I could move my legs. I couldn’t walk, but I can move.
You know, this is something to, from a parent’s perspective, your mom was there and she’s watching her little girl just go through things that we can’t fathom. You know, from a mama and a grandma’s perspective, that’s got to be horrific. And she was, oh, that upsets you. I see that. So is that something we wanted to talk about or is that off limits?
No, it’s fine. It’s fine. It’s just that I get emotional because my family showed up for me so much that, if it weren’t for them and their love, I wouldn’t be here. I mean, just at the hospital, they created shifts so somebody would be with me 24 hours a day.
You’re talking about your family. Somebody was rotating there with you at all times, so they could be your advocate, because actually, patients need advocates in the system.
Yes, true. And one night, I almost died. And if my mom had not been there, I would have died for certain.
So she was able to take proactive steps, I mean, we can’t, unless you’ve lived it, you can’t really describe it. I know. It’s a jungle out there.
So the, and, and, and, you know, insurance and the medical, I’m, I’m not a fan of the big pharma every era, you know, all that stuff that has caused so much, um, I think more damage than good in many, many, many ways. And I’ve been on that path for a lot longer than most people, I think. So, um, I mean, I’m turned 72 last week. I don’t have one orange bottle in my cabinet. I don’t take anything. I haven’t been to a doctor in 20 years, at least. And, uh, you know, I’m pretty vibrant for them for that age or for any age, right? I just gonna not, I ain’t quitting, but I’m not going to, I’m not going to start taking things that, um, are not natural or I can’t find out. So that brings us to really, you went through months. That was only four months. We’re talking about there that you’re in the hospital.
And thenย you come home and you still need 24/7 care? And who’s, how long did that part last?
Oh man, all together. That part lasted about nearly a decade. I mean, I could probably walk after something like a year. I could walk, but I had a walker, I had canes, and it wasn’t steady. I wasn’t steady on my feet. Before I could go to the gym, it was probably two or three years, and I was just going to the gym to move myself. I wasn’t going to the gym to do a crazy workout because I couldn’t. I was in the condition.
So your job, I mean, you said you were training to be a broker. You’re dynamic, going to do Wall Street or whatever it is, financial services. And you weren’t able to even consider that for a long time, right? And probably never have gone back to it. I’m guessing you didn’t even go back to that after all this.
You’re right. I didn’t go back.
Timeline, we were just like, oh my gosh, I had a stroke. I’m 25 years old. Now I’m in a hospital for four months. Now I’m at home with 24/7 care. I can barely function. And fortunately, you are healing, and you were young enough to do that. Some, you know, you, otherwise, you know, you wouldn’t be here as you said. So, uh, you were now several years into. being in this situation and didn’t you I mean I feel like you got depressed and just didn’t know what the heck was going on and how about that
Yeah, of course, I was in that white meat stage for such a long time, years longer than I care to admit, but I was only 25, and to see my friends going out and going to bars, and having boyfriends, and I was just like, why me? Why me? So anyway, when I finally saw the silver lining, and it was a very small silver lining, was when I went to yoga. And I thought, I’m just going to do yoga because it can be easily modified, and I can take it slow. So I did yoga, not realizing… What a powerful mental exercise that is. And it shifted my whole perspective. And I started to see things a little bit differently. And then it wasn’t so much, why me? But it was more like, how can I get out of this? How can I improve? And all throughout, I did all kinds of treatments. I did stem cell injections. I went to Germany for therapy. I did a barbaric oxygen therapy. I did the Feldenkrais method for months.
Did you say the Feldenkrais method? Yeah. Did they make some improvement? These are really great modalities right there. So did they make some improvement?
Yeah, and they did make some improvement. I mean, when I got to about 10 years since the stroke, from the stroke, I plateaued. Well, I plateaued at eight years. And I still kept searching for things. And at year number 10, I said, I’m done. I’m tired of just researching treatments, doing treatments, and just eat, sleep, and breathe to find out how I can get better. I just wanted to live my life. I was tired.
Did your friends abandon you during all that? Did your friends kind of, did they rally or did they kind of like, she can’t join us we’re not no I mean no judgment we all do what we do right.
I’ll just say this, my good friends stuck around the people that I knew were acquaintances, and even more than acquaintances, they all kind of fell by the wayside. It’s hard to know what to say.
It’s hard to know what to, you know, it’s like, and we face our own mortality or our own, you know, stuff. And, you know, most of us don’t want to see that. Most of us don’t want to consider those things. So you’re talking, you’re now in your 30s, 35 and up, where you finally gave up trying to find all these modalities or these different healing things. And I’m glad that you tried them because they are, many of them are, I’ve, you know, we have people, I have a friend that’s, that’s, or I would say had a guess that the Feldenkrais method is really very powerful.ย
And I’m guessing the vast majority of people have never heard of it, but it does. I’m not going to focus on that because it didn’t do what you needed. It did something, and it let me know all of it. I say all this all the time, everything is always working out for me, and when it doesn’t feel like it, it still is, because where else do you have to be? So once something has you, stay here. I mean, really, you had to have a mentality. I’m here for a reason. I’m guessing you got to shift into that somewhere along the line. There must be a reason I’ve had to do this and I’m still here, right?
Yeah, somewhere along the way, I began doing personal development. And that opened up a whole new world for me. And so when I got to the 10 years, At 70% recovered, more or less. Oh, and by the way, I want to say this. I did play with my diet throughout that decade. I was pescatarian, macrobiotic, like anything that I thought would help me. I did it, right? So anyway, at year 10, when I stopped recovering at 70%, I was just going about my life. And I thought, this is it. This is as good as it’s going to get. I better learn how to enjoy it.

Well, and could you, I mean, I know being mute, that was one of the hardest things I think you said, was being mute in the beginning, you know, all that time. At what point did you start getting your voice back?
Oof. That’s been improving up until now, basically. I mean,
it’s obvious you have a little bit of hesitation in there, but so clear and so easy to hear and understand you. And that’s a huge gift. But wasn’t that one of the hardest parts, just not being able to communicate in a normal manner?
It was very difficult. The thing that helped me so much was when I couldn’t talk. because this was months and years into it, I would type things out of my laptop. My brothers thought to bring my laptop to the hospital. And I was like, oh my gosh, I was so happy. I was typing with one finger, but I was typing.
Yeah. And we all know people that have not recovered movement, right? I have one of my guests, he was at 14 and, you know, paralyzed from the neck down from football injury and he had massive dreams I mean he was he was being groomed to be NFL you know and he was really talented in his whole life into that day and lots of years of not and um and um Trinnell Walker if you ever want to look him up in my show um he he’s he’s now a motivational speaker he’s doing you know even though he’s still in a wheelchair he’s still You know, we’re not this skin suit, right?
Who we are isn’t what we look like. It’s not this meat suit. And so if we can continue developing who we are, huge. So I can tell that that’s who you are. You’re really, I mean, to step out and tell your story in the change book, that’s a huge deal. And seeing something bigger for you. And when you see it, you can be it, right? Sounds trite, but that’s the truth. It is the truth. So now what? So now you are starting to think about food and where did that shift? Because there was a big deal when, I mean, I just read some of your story here and there in your media, but then food… that’s what you’re passionate about now.
How food, and ironically, and I hope you don’t mind me saying, but one of my good friends, Gail Blair, who is an intuitive chef, she intuits everything about other people, what is working and not working in their bodies right now. And when I saw that you are an intuitive chef, nutritionist or whatever you want to call it. I don’t know how you call it, but I’m like, whoa, there’s not very many, much of that out there, but I believe it’s huge. I believe it’s perhaps a cutting edge thing, process that you’re going to share, save a lot of people because of that. Because when you started changing your diet, how did you find that out? I mean, where did you?
Totally by accident. They found me. So I was on the computer doing I don’t know what. And then I saw an ad for a program on nutrition. And I was interested because I had already been playing with my diet for a number of years. But I didn’t think anything was possible recovery-wise. I thought I plateaued. I’ve been plateaued for at least seven years. What was that you said?
What’s the word you said?
Plateau.
Plateau. Okay. Plateau. I missed the word. Okay. Yeah. So you’d been doing all this stuff, but you were seven years is a long time to just figure, okay, this is all, is this all there is right? I
thought that’s all there was. I thought that’s all there is. So I enrolled in the course just because I was curious, nothing else. Within six months, I was 20% more recovered. And I got my life back. And I could not believe what just happened. First of all, I was extremely happy, as you can imagine. But second of all, I was very frustrated. I was very frustrated because I look back on the 15 years I suffered and lost my late 20s and early 30s. And I didn’t have to go through all that had I known what I know now.
So what is that? I mean, oh my goodness. So what kind of course or what is your modality here? Or what is it? And is it something anybody can do? And would it help everybody or just those in
need? Yeah, well, I’ll just give you a story that during the certification for the coaching program, Because I enrolled in the coaching. I was so amazed that this could happen. I needed to look how this could be. Because to me it was downright sorcery. Sorcery. So I enrolled just out of curiosity because I didn’t even have intention of coaching anybody. I just wanted to know what the hell was going on. But during the certification, we had to have a pilot class, right? So I gathered some people and they did my pilot class. And then the people in my class, they had miracles. Their own miracles. I mean, mine is a miracle, but they had their own miraculous stories. People, no more CPAP machines, type 2 diabetes reversed, um, A bunch of weight. I mean, weight just flies off. But it’s not a weight loss program.
It’s just that that’s a byproduct of being healthy. Your body does not want to carry around extra weight. I even had a person that stopped using reading glasses. And I couldn’t believe it. And sciatic operation canceled. And I thought to myself, What does sciatica have to do with food? I had no idea what that connection was, but now today I know that it’s intricately related because the way your body functions, all of your body, your one whole system, it’s all related to what goes in all the inputs and then to your food, to your immune system. It’s all one system.
It’s all related. Yeah. Wow. So You know, now we’re on the edge of the seat, so what are you talking about?
A lot of us could, you know, I do believe food has been so contaminated for so long that we don’t even know what a real apple tastes like. Back in the 50s when I was growing up and we had a really good tomato, a homegrown tomato, you know, they were so flavorful and were just in this, you know, yeah
and everything’s bland right
bland
or sugary
bland or sugary or um um artificial it’s all art you know, whatever so how what what’s the deal, i mean, is this is something you can say the name of it or is it a uh proprietary thing are you’re building a course i mean a coaching around it right
yeah so i call it surviving to thriving And that’s my, I go through the program, but that’s where they layered with my coaching. Because the founder of the company did a video course and the video course is integral to the live coaching. So you have to watch the course videos as we coach live as well. And basically we do three months, and we go through different seasons. But they’re not seasons like we would know seasons today. Like, oh, it’s cold. It’s winter. Winter for us means fasting. Fall means fattening up for the winter. Because you might not survive in the winter unless you are prepared. So we go through all the seasons. And at the end, you decide what works for you. And you’re the one that developed your own plan. We also do a very deep dive into your food psychology. So that’s the foundation.
Into food psychology. Food psychology. Oh. Okay.
That’s it. That’s why I don’t come in and say, here, do this list, because that’s the diet industry is predicated on, just that. And, oh, you’re going to do it, you’re weak. No, the diet industry is failing. you you’re not feeling sorry you know you know
Yeah so years ago this was my i came up with the definition or diet you know diet c-o-k-e you know it’s one of those um i’m like the best marketing on the face of the earth they come up with this term to label this poison right this die with a cross at the end is what i call diet yeah Die with a cross at the end. It has nothing to, I mean, it’s just marketing.
Yeah, and we hijack the term anyway because diet does not mean temporary solution to get into a dress that I want to wear on New Year’s. Diet means way of life. That’s it. That’s what that means. We think of what an animal’s diet is. We’re not thinking diet. that I was going on a diet. We’re thinking, what is its lifestyle? That’s a true definition.
Well, you’ve got, so you’re intrigued. So is this like, so the guy, the guy you, you found an ad. Now I believe in divine, right? I believe that somehow or another that showed up just at the moment you happened to click something. And I mean, it happens to me all the time. Like, oh, wow. Wow, you know, these divine things. And when you can look at it and see it as divine, rather than, Oh, just a coincidence, then you’ll start receiving more. You know, you get what you’re focused on. You start receiving more of the miracles that are coming more and more, more of them.ย
And so, this ad that you saw randomly, right? It wasn’t, it was for you in that moment, in that moment in time. So, you, are you able to share who that is or what that’s about, or, you know, and people that want to know more, you know, let’s go ahead and say you’re genuinely Maria. Genuinely, Maria is your website and people can go there and find your story and and and and download your free book, which are not download your free book. You’ve got a book that you wrote besides the Change called that’s not really. You said it’s not available online right now.
Breaking into the Light. What a pretty little book, you know, so people can email you. I’m guessing it’s Maria at GenuinelyMaria.com
Close. Hello @ GenuinelyMaria.com.
Oh, hello at GenuinelyMaria.com Okay, great. So that little book, what is that about? I mean, I’m sure it’s about your story, but how can we learn from that? So

I wrote this book 10 years ago. And It goes through my life, many stories in there, and the stuff I learned. And I was so surprised when people told me their thoughts on the book, and they said, I saw myself in that. And I was like, how did you see yourself in that? How many people go through what I went through? But that was a resounding thing that I kept hearing over and over again. But anyway, the last chapter is called Pearls, and it’s the things I learned during this ordeal. And it does not talk about the nutrition aspect because I hadn’t learned that yet. So I’m looking to write a second edition, and that’s why it’s not available online.
That’s so cool, though. But, you know, you’re telling your story. And then 10 years later, you have a whole new story. It’s like a new season, a new chapter into your future. So I’m sure it will be very well received. And you might make it a, you know, a sequel or an anniversary, you know, something along that line. But you’re at some point. So you said 10 years ago you wrote it. So now what? You when did you in that this last 10 years after you wrote that book when did you discover or get find this ad take it upon yourself to get coached and all that how long ago was that.
That was in the year 2020
A pivotal year in many ways, so in every way, but we’re not going there. But now, in 2020, you find this coaching and you’re offering it now. So you’re a coach called and it’s Surviving to Thriving. And tell us about all that. And what does it really mean?
Well, without sounding too conspiratorial, because it’s going to sound that way without intention, we are accepting a level of health. That is mediocre. And I feel better now than I did pre-stroke in my early 20s. I didn’t know that this level of health was even possible.
Is it weird stuff? You have to go out in the woods and forage for mushrooms? Or is it something we can actually find easily?
I don’t know. It’s so easy. It’s very easy to find at regular grocery stores. It’s nothing magic. It’s just eating to fulfill our nutritional needs. Because every human, no matter where you are, you could be in Asia, you could be in Australia, you could be in the North Pole. I don’t care. We all have the same nutritional requirements.
And it’s not the pyramid, the food pyramid. The food pyramid is backwards, upside down. Totally, totally, totally. We’re on the same page there.
Yeah. And that’s all it is. Going through different seasons tells your body different things. Because think of food as a language. Think of food as a language and the different foods tell your body what functions to perform. So forget about the calories in, calories out.
I think calories are all made up.
They’re made up, correct. That’s kind of useless because…
Back in the 50s, my mama was all of a sudden, we couldn’t have butter anymore. We’re having to have oleo margarine because we might get fat, which of course made us all fat. Nobody’s skinnier because of fake fat and fake sweeteners. Yeah.
Yeah, we need fats, actually. We do not get fat from eating fat.
It’s quite the opposite as we’ve determined. Yeah. So, what can you eat? What is the, is there a, is everybody different? Is it tested? Is it, you know?
Well, here’s the thing. I want to share it with a story because I think it’ll best illustrate it. When elephants first began being put in zoos, they were living six, seven years. And the zookeepers thought I made my money back. All’s good. But then they learned that in the wild, elephants live 60, 70, and even 80 years sometimes. And all of a sudden they were like, ah, oh my God, my poor pockets. So they began to feed the elephants in captivity. The same died as the elephants in the wild. And the elephants in captivity began to live almost as long.
And we humans were eating in captivity. And even though humans are biologically more similar than they are different, everybody’s on a different, like think of health as a spectrum and everybody’s in a different place on that spectrum. But some people say, oh, we’re all different. We’re all different. We’re just a different part of the spectrum. We’re not really different.
We’re so much more alike than we are different. Yeah, totally.
Yeah. Yeah, it’s just that maybe the person next to me may be more allergic to peanuts or whatever. Because they have less health than I would, than I do. For example, that’s where allergies come from. Your body is… Not as, how do I put it? Not that you’re unhealthy. You’re less healthy than somebody who doesn’t have allergies.
It’s all relative. We’re all in lifestyle, environment, all of that stuff, we’re all, there’s none of us the same, but we’re vastly, I would say 99%, more alike than different. And then that includes every piece of us, you know, that includes the, you know, skin color, all of that. We’re so much more alike. We all bleed red.
Correct. Correct.
I’m sorry. When you have things like the blood type diet, we don’t really need that. I mean, it’s very good. It’s very good marketing because if I come to you saying, Charla, I have developed the Charla diet.
You’d be like, ooh. I actually have one. I lost 50 pounds three times after kids and stuff like that. And had some psychological tricks that helped me through it. But it wasn’t because… And the psychological trips helped me project and do different things that I’ve not heard many other people say. But someday I might write about that. But the… You know, so… it’s it’s not like when die with a cross at the end this diet is just we we need to eat we’ve all got to eat to survive and we just need to find the right things that work for us right for us
and the different things work for different people yes but at one point more things work for you the healthier you are makes sense.
So what, what do you eat and what is the, is it, I mean, it’s looking out, I’m looking at, I never even figured out what all these word names that I know the Ketos and the, you know, I know carnivore and I’m like, I could do that one. You know, but the, you know, what. What makes yours different? What makes this different? And why, who is this? How did you find this guy? And is he still doing what he did? And is he your personal mentor? A lot of questions at once.
So where do I start? First of all, I’m going to drop a little bomb. Then this would have been a bomb for me if somebody had told me 10 years ago, because I did not know this. Meat is not the devil. We need meat. I was a vegetarian. If you want to be a vegetarian for ideological reasons, that’s fine. Your health might suffer. And if you don’t supplement very, very carefully, your health will definitely suffer. But it’s not healthier. I believed the brainwashing or the hype because we’re all made to believe that being a vegetarian is somehow healthier. It’s not. It is not.
I never fell for that.
I fell for it.
Never fell for it. And I believe that I have, you know, looking around, I’ve got some siblings, sisters that, you know, I’m like, well, who’s the healthy one who went away? I’m the black sheep, right? I’m the black sheep.
And the proof is in the pudding and no pun intended, but the proof is in the pudding.
Or a meat pie. Oh, exactly. I’m just using that. Yeah, that works. Anyway, that’s funny. So, yeah, so… I don’t remember what questions I asked, but what do you feel like needs to be shared? We start winding down here.
So I would say, first of all, there’s hope. Whatever chronic illness you have, whatever shape you think you’re in, there’s always getting better. Don’t, you’re not resigned to listening to people with the white lab coats. who have no idea about nutrition. And the one thing I will say about that is I would never go to a mechanic if he told me, well, what’s gasoline? I would run very quickly in the other direction. You go to a doctor who doesn’t understand food. Food is what fuels us. And so without a proper understanding of food, you’re not going to get the answers you need. You’re going down a road that’s going to lead to a hamster wheel.
Yeah. Oh, this caused this. So you got to take this. This caused this. It’s a vicious cycle. And I did a rant a year ago or so that I was like, the white coat syndrome is, you know, we believe in these because they have this education. But where did the education come from? You and I probably both know. But the white coat syndrome, when my mama had my sister in 1943, and she was told, you know, that was when the marketing company had come up with the white coat. It was a marketing company that came up, advertising company came up with the white coat to give, you know, exactly what they got with this white coat syndrome. And the, I mean, by the way, If I broke my arm, you know, there’s the emergency system in
this
country is amazing. The, you know, that’s amazing. Something that, that traumas the medical system, not so much, but she, I mean, she was told she had a baby and she was told, don’t do anything for two weeks. You don’t get out of bed unless you go, just go to the bathroom and this. And I’m like, really? Really? Billions and billions of people have been born out in the fields, you know. They squat down, have their baby, tie it on, you know, run up and catch up with the tribe. And we can’t move for two weeks because Dr., you know, so-and-so’s got this white coat on, you know, and this authority, the white coat of authority is what it’s called. And, you know, so you and I are on the same page on that. It doesn’t mean they’re not. most of them trying and wanting to do the right thing, but the system back in the early 1900s, they, if you teach, if the medical schools taught one thing, one thing, natural or non-petroleum based, then they would not get funding.
Right. Right. And that’s, that’s a problem. I mean, most doctors do it for the right reasons. And they want to help people, but they’re being trained in a system that does the opposite of helping people. That just keeps you in the loop because healthy people are not profitable. That’s a sad truth, a sad reality.
So this is true. You heal somebody and you can give billions and billions and billions of dollars to find a cure for something that there’s all kinds of cures for out there. Yeah. outside of that and uh you know the money dries up and so it’s it’s not about health
if it
says if it’s kind of says the health system i’m like i think they’ve changed the word you know inside out it’s kind of topsy-turvy right
yeah so and i think one of our other questions was who is this guy that i found and His name is Eric Edmeades. I coach. I’m an independent contractor for the company. So I basically layer my coaching on top of that video, of course, which is integral to the live coaching. Because otherwise, I have to repeat the same thing over and over again.
Well, that’s… And it makes sense. Most coaches would be… It would help to have video series courses is what we call them in this world. Right. So, uh, and they, they are supplements to the personal one-on-one. So you, I mean, I feel like it’s just been a divine gift that you clicked on and you know, you’re like, what is this? And you, you know, you were intrigued enough to do it and here you are genuinely Maria. And
I think that was, I think that was meant to happen the way it happened. I was meant to suffer all that time. So I could tell you, you don’t have to do that. You don’t have to do that.
Right. It’s your story. It’s your test that can becomes your testimony, your mess. It becomes a message. That’s, you know, we hear those cliches all the time. You’re living it. We all are. We’re all overcomers of something. And you’re an overcomers overcomer. Sure. Yeah. I wouldn’t wait. I’m going to just stop a minute and insert my little commercial. There’s, I have a company that I love, love, love, and I’m going to insert my little one minute commercial in here. But I want to just say, you know, a lot of our diets these days are, um, inflammation is a problem and we don’t have our omegas in balance. This 20-year-old company called Zinzino has come back, come into North America in the last year and they do test-based, test-based.
They stick your finger, you come home and stick your finger and send off this, your blood, dry spot blood test to Norway and they tell you what your, your ratio is. It should be three to one or better. 99% of North Americans are out of balance and most of us way out of balance, the average is a 25 or 27 to 113 to one is normal. I have friends that were 5553 to one. And you just take one little tiny shot of. balance oil a day a simple one second solution and end up with four months later you get another free or the 120 day every 120 days you get a free uh blood test to double check and people are going from the 50s to one to single digits to one in four months and that’s because our communities, our society. And actually the fish oil supplements are not effective.
This company’s figured out how to do it. They’ve got tests for multiple things. So I’m going to, I hear I’m going off on that, but I had no intention of saying that that long, but I want, I love this companies and Zeno, they bought my company I’d been with for 17 years, which is a nutritional thing as well. Zeal, whatever it is. And You know, there’s things out there that are going to make a difference for you. And when you can get your inflammation down because your omegas are in balance, the results are stunning. So CharlaAnderson.com/Zinzino. Here’s my commercial. We’re going to be right back with the Wrapping Up with Maria Garcia. Okay, we’re back.
And thank you, thank you, thank you for the indulgence of that because I forget to do it.
And it is my wish that my channel start becoming subscribe and like my YouTube channel. And whatever your social medias are, you feel free to be there. They’ll be in the notes, but feel free to say them. We want to just encourage people to be the best and healthiest they can be. Vibrant. Get off the couch, turn off the media, do just, you know, and enjoy, you know, you focus on things you love and want. You get more of that. You focus on what’s wrong. You get more of that.
So that you and I’m a, I’m a personal development junkie from way back decades and decades. So I’m glad you found it too, because otherwise we wouldn’t be having this conversation. Probably not. So let’s have your last, you know, let’s give your wrap up here. What is it that you want people to hear and know and feel from you? And what is your offer?
That they can take their health in their own hands. You don’t need to outsource that at all. I mean, if you have an accident, as Charla was saying, we have a great emergency medical system. Great. But if something happens where you have a longer chronic issue or it’s high blood pressure or diabetes, the system is not where you want to go. Why can’t you, you know,
high blood pressure? You can’t eat grapefruit if you’re on high blood pressure medicines because grapefruits help lower your blood pressure. So when we start to really look at these things, you can’t be in the sunshine because… heaven forbid you get vitamin D, which is required. And so, but you can’t, you got to buy supplements to do that. You can’t go in the sun. I mean, if we start thinking logically, you know, you know, you can’t have salt. Are you kidding me? One of the most required nutrients on the face of the earth, you know? So, so everything has gotten backwards. I’m very grateful right now. We’re living in such a time as this things are becoming, um, exposed on that and people are waking up to that. So, okay. I interrupted you. Sorry.
That’s all right. So I would say that if you hear nothing else from what I said all this whole time I spoke, just know that you can take your health in your own hands. That’s my biggest message. And the best place to find me is on my website, GenuinelyMaria.com Genuinely. It often sounds like generally, but genuinely.
Genuine. Genuinely.
Because I’m a bit allergic to social media at the moment. But you can book a complimentary discovery call through the website. If you want to just talk and see what’s available. My flagship or my main offer is, I offer a three-month coaching program. And within those three months, your life will radically change radically, it will transform in a positive direction.
I love it. You know, so you also have a quote. Are you, your favorite quote is a healthy outside. And it’s also a part of your tagline. I believe healthy outside starts from the inside. And so when we start taking control of our own health and recognize that it’s okay to take a few days of assessment and things like that. And so I am grateful that, that you just chose it’s all choice you chose you decided to cut off all other options that other than a healing path for you and you’re beautiful and you’re it’s so it’s so amazing can’t even imagine having you know having you had to go through all that but you isn’t it wonderful that so many people that do come back have their the next man up, how can I help someone else through these kinds of things? Or so they don’t have to suffer as much as I did. There’s a lot of folks like you out there that are, that are sharing their stories. And I’m so grateful for you.
And it needs to be heard. Thank you for giving me the platform to share mine.
Yeah. I look forward to keeping in touch and I can’t read, wait to read your chapter and the change that’s coming out probably in the Probably not before the end of the year, but pretty soon. So blessings to you. Thank you for being my guest today. I just feel a real heart connection with you. I think you’re precious. And I’m so grateful that you chose to reach out to me. And let’s do this. Let’s get you healthy. Let’s get the world healthy. Let’s change. And for such a time as this. And
Thank you.
Always, always, always choose joy.
