Introduction

Good, beautiful day, beautiful, beautiful souls! This is Charla Anderson, host of the Charla Anderson Show~Collector & Connector of Fascinating People (& EVERYONE is Fascinating!), especially you.

A very unlikely rebel today. Oh, my goodness. She was Jennifer Sedlock of Jennifer Speaks is my guest today. And wow, when you just think you’re living your life and you end up stumbling upon a massive indoctrination of your children, and you start taking a stand, we’re going to learn much more about that. I cannot wait to introduce you.ย

โ€ฆBUT FIRSTโ€ฆ

We’re going to take a 22-second mini vacation. We’re going to breathe in some calm for seven seconds. We’re going to hold for four seconds. We’re going to breathe out gratitude for 11 seconds, and we’re going to be still and know, get centered. Okay, here we go. Breathe in some calm. Hold. Relax, release. Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you.

Thank you so much,ย Jennifer. I’m so excited to introduce you. You know, when I first learned about your story, I’m like, whoa, you know, here we are. We’re just mom doing our thing, right? And next thing you know, you’ve written a book. I want to know all about that. So just first of all, just tell us who you are, where you’re from, what you’re doing out here in the world, and then we’ll talk about what you do and where you’re headed.

Okay, sounds good. Well, I started off in management and then kind of discovered, I knew I wanted to be an entrepreneur, but I didn’t know of what. And it never dawned on me that there was speaking out there and that the product would be, you know, me up on a stage. But as I got into training and development, and enjoyed it, I went out into the world and found not just the training world, but the speaking world, and started my business. Thirty years ago this year, which is crazy to think that it’s been three decades. So I went along, I was doing management training type programs in the beginning and even had a different company name.ย

It started off as Executive Enhancements. And I was kind of the soft skills, the Myers-Briggs and, you know, who are we and what do we want to do? And as the years went by, I ended up speaking in other venues, I had three children, and so I spoke at the preschool for the teachers and all kinds of things that, you know,

happened along the way. I ended up starting to get asked to speak in churches and women’s retreats. So at first I was like, no, don’t want to do that. And then kept getting asked. So I finally started doing that. So it’s been an interesting ride. Lots of different things along the way and got my master’s in organization development so that I could do more external consulting to companies. Tried that for a while and then I was like, no, I’d rather speak. And kind of that had to do with, you know, being away from the children. And I thought, oh, I want to be more local. And then I thought, no, that takes too much time. I’d rather go in, speak.

And so I really aspired to become not just a speaker and trainer of all day or half day, but a keynoter. So I started doing that in about 2004, wrote my first keynote, which 2005 was when I had my last child. So lots going on over the years and I’m about to become a grandma, which is crazy.

The best part of having kids, I’m telling you.

I’ll take your word for that. I’ll let you know in a month.

That’s so cute, yeah. So you went through all this training and all this stuff, andย just learning as we go, but speaking is a wonderful opportunity to meet so many people and do so many things. And you had no idea, I don’t think, that it was preparing you for a shift in a big way. And you’ve got a book showing behind you. Of course, most people will do podcasts and not watch it. So we want to share exactly how to spell things. It says Jennifer Sedlock is your name, S-E-D-L-O-C-K.

But your book is The Yoga Crisis in America, a wake-up call to protect the children. And it is on Amazon and my website and through Zulon. Yeah, it was a, you know, it’s just one of those things that arises in your life and you either step up to the call or you don’t, depending upon what’s going on. But it was impacting my children. And, you know, in a nutshell, what happened was a India-based financer was trying to help with PE hours, and they exchanged PE for yoga 60% of the time in the elementary schools.

You’re in California, in your school district?

We’re in California, yeah. And so that was when it all came in. And really, we kind of walked into it blindly. A lot of us were like, okay, what’s going on here? But over the course of that first semester, it became very clear that there were problems. And it was the children telling us there were problems. It was the children in many homes that were telling their parents, and I, it was unbeknownst to me what was going on. And I got invited to I was a leader. You said you titled this leadership and in almost everything I do,ย

I end up rising to lead something in it because that’s one of my gifts: leadership and administration. So organizing things and people and ideas is very much second nature to me. And so someone said, well, you’re the head of Moms in Prayer. You need to come to this. And I was like, OK. And it was a parent meeting. And there happened to be an attorney involved. And listen to about 25 parents talk about what was happening in their classes. And I didn’t know what was going to happen, but I walked away from there knowing this was big, something was wrong, and spent the next few months going to board meetings, which I had never been to, a school board meeting. And this was kind of before. You see all this stuff now about board meetings, you know, with parents getting involved. And parents were involved in things long before I was in other topics.

You know, the mindfulness meditation type stuff that’s been trying to come into the schools for years under lots of different names. And yoga is sort of another one, but it’s also a very spiritual, religious nature to it, particularly the Ashtanga Yoga that they were bringing in. And so none of us knew that until we started researching it and looking into it. So it was quite crazy time of it coming in. And as things unfolded, we realized we needed to educate more parents. Well, who can help with that?ย

Well, gee, that’s kind of my business. And then as it… rolled on, we started educating pastors. Who thought you were going to educate pastors on this? And then it became a ministry, a website, educating people on what was going on, a lawsuit, and then the book. The book to try, it’s a tell-all. It’s about the actual, what was building up. The first four chapters are kind of about what was going on in the schools, and why was it Why did it matter nationwide? Which it did because the Joyce Foundation, which was bringing in the Ashtanga Yoga, they purported they wanted to take it to the entire country and they were using our school district to write the curriculum because we couldn’t afford PE teachers. We didn’t have PE teachers. I even taught PE one semester for a pregnant teacher. I mean, we had parents filling in that have no degrees in PE.ย

And so there was a unique situation in California for that. But somehow they just could all of a sudden afford to hire 18 yoga teachers. There were nine schools, two per school. So it was very fishy from the get-go. And when you follow the money, you find all the issues.

Oh, that’s so true. So I want to know, what were the kids coming home and saying? What were they, I mean, it’s just, you know, just yoga in and of itself is, you know, it’s can be just a meditation and things like that. So there’s, we’ll talk about that. But this, what were the kids saying that was not going on?

Well, there were all kinds of concerns, like physical concerns from the parents that, you know, Johnny didn’t want to sit in a room and stretch when he’s been sitting all day at school. So, I mean, cause you got to remember, these are five to 12-year-olds. They, they need to get out and run and do, you know, what kids do they need to get that and build that you know get the steam out but also think about if your entire um elementary years, you’re doing yoga, you’re not learning volleyball, you’re not learning badminton, you’re not learning kickball, basketball, all those things. It changes America. I wouldn’t even want volleyball 60% of the time or, you know, and they were looking at doing 100% and we were like, and they wouldn’t let us opt out. Now, let me go back to answer your question a little more concisely. The kids who were saying things were to Christian parents. Christian kids were saying, Mommy, something doesn’t fit.

This seems to go against something we just learned at church. And so there were things like that. There were also a few things where Kids were doing interesting things in their household. They were becoming very angry and some other things that we would learn later from yogis was demonic. And we didn’t understand that. Neither did even the parents that were watching it. Like a kid throwing themselves against the wall. It’s like, okay, they’ve never done this.

What’s going on? So odd things were happening in the classrooms. The minute we started questioning it, all the shades came down. You could never go to a yoga class, you couldn’t see what the kids were doing. We snuck in and got lots of pictures. We got lots of things going on. There were all kinds of incense and bells and all these things that are very indicative of the Indian culture also involved. And so why does that need to be in an elementary school? If it’s not religious, you’re saying it’s not religious. But then those same companies are going and getting religious exemptions on taxes. It’s like you can’t have it both ways. And if you ask the yogis, the yogis will always tell you it’s religious, unless they’re trying to get in the school system and hide it.

So I mean, curious and curiouser, right? So this getting not having money that you’re the parent of all classes a parent can go in. Okay, let’s run around the room for 12 times I mean, you know, you get them get their energy going guy. I think that’s not as hard as it would add some of the others, maybe, but as far as coming in and Substituting, but I didn’t have money to pay gym teachers, PE teachers, but they had money to pay yoga teachers. There’s that, that’s a curious thing, isn’t it? Which came from the grant

Right, which we would figure out by digging, yeah.

So you opened up a can of worms is what I called you an unintentional rebel or

something like that you opened up a can of worms that they were trying to you know, yeah, and

well, and let me be clear that it was hundreds of people would show up to not only the

parent meetings, but some of the schools to protest some things. I mean, you’d never seen protests in Encinitas for at the schools before that. There were a lot of people involved. But when it came down to after five months of trying to talk to the school board, and they just didn’t want to talk to us at all. They just tuned us out. It became very clear to the attorney.

He said, well, and he does pro bono work in this area with children, any kind of events with children. And he said, you need to do some kind of lawsuit. And we all went, no. We didn’t want to do that and so it was kind of crickets for a while and then we had a meeting. And everybody went around the room and every single person said pretty much why they couldn’t do it. Like one couple was getting

divorced. Oh, we can’t do it right now. A lot of the men were afraid of what might happen if my employer saw that we were in this lawsuit because it did blow up and it did blow up big. Well, my husband and I were thinking, well, we’ll do it, you know, with 10 other couples. Then it got to, is there even two or three? And then it was really nobody but us that were willing to do it. So, we kind of took a, I call it my three-day Jacob struggle of, why us? Why do we have to do this? We weren’t even the first ones involved and what, you know, really struggling with God. Why us? And then, after three days, the conversation switched to, why not us? And God started showing me how we had been prepared for years.

in different ways. My husband wasn’t afraid of a lawsuit. I had these skills and

abilities to be articulate in a public space. I mean, that’s part of how I got involved even at the parent meetings. It wasn’t that I thought anything better than anyone else. It was just I wasn’t afraid to get up and say, hey, if we do this with volleyball, we’d be a volleyball nation in 10 years. Do we want to be a yoga nation? Like, what’s going on here? And many other people were articulate and standing up, and many other people were willing to do all kinds of parts of it. But when it came down to it, we filed. And within a day, well, that day, we got calls from ABC, NBC, Doctors Show, all this. And our attorney said, don’t answer the phone. And if you do, just Send them to me, just don’t even. So we had kind of a quiet period right before filing. The second day it was Pakistan, India, Germany. I mean, we were getting calls from all over. And it kind of- You and your husband on your personal cell phone. On our personal phone line and my business line. I got calls all night long on my business line. You know, you Pharisee, how could you do this? Well, if

you’re that upset about yoga, you know, then it’s not working for you. Like, isn’t this supposed to ground you and, you know, calm you down? And yet most, you know, what we would find in India was, no, we’re praying the spirits away. That’s what our yoga is about. We don’t know why you Westerners are doing it. And the more we researched, the more we found it was, it just became crazier and crazier. But our lives turned over that day because clearly, we couldn’t really walk out of our house without being careful. People would parade by praying for us, and people would parade by trying to get a look or whatever. And that’s when I wish I knew the fake news terminology, because years later, I think Trump would say fake news. And I was like, we’ve been

dealing with that. Because we would experience a, meeting of the school board and the news would come and it was, you know, lots of news, um, which no one was expecting. Then they’d interview us and then it would be completely skewed by the time it was on the 10 o’clock news. And we were like, where did they get that? And, you know, they would take one little clip of something you said that matched their agenda, not yours. And it was like, how can this be happening? So we stopped talking to them. I have

witnessed that and you know in the media is so that’s why we’re so divided because

people are hearing these little clips that are taken out of context even in the last couple of weeks here right things that are taken out of context that cause rile up some the the people that are rileable you know and get that crazy agenda going without First of all, many aren’t privy that that’s what’s going on, but secondly, they don’t do the research and they don’t go back and listen to the entire interview to find out the truth or what was really said. I’ve noticed that so many places. In this day and age, I’m like, you know, we just have different sources of information and I kind of leave those conversations flat.

And we just had different

sources of information. And so this, I guess there must be different kinds of,

you’re talking about the agenda behind this program that was yoga in the elementary

school. Right, exactly. And that’s what we would always take it down to when people

would get really upset. We’re like, why are you upset? We’re just saying we don’t want our children in this particular Ashtanga yoga in Ansonia schools. We just don’t want it in the school. We’re not saying don’t have a center down the street and enroll your kids. Do whatever you want. It’s your choice. But, you know, if we’re taking prayer out of schools, if we’re

taking, you know, all religion out of schools, this is a form of religion for the people who

created it and for many yogis that teach it. They may hide that. And America thought it was just exercise. And we would come to find out that, you know, Even if it is, is it still right for our children to be doing that? And why are they trying to hide what it really is? Why do you have to go sojourn to Mayasuri, India, in order to teach this? Why are there certain stipulations? And why are the teachers now hiding the classes? And all that kind of got really sticky when we kept asking questions.

And for exactly what you said is why we created a website and why we created these programs to educate what we thought was going to be educating parents. But all of a sudden,a pastor came to the first event and said, we need to do this at our church. And I thought, you’ve got to be kidding me. And the next thing I know, a month later, we’re standing in front of 100

pastors, just us moms and dads from the school district. And we’re just sharing our testimony of what happened, basically. either maybe telling someone else’s story or what we experienced and what we’ve been learning. And they were learning because they were the ones who needed to go and share it with, because in all the churches right around here, that’s the congregations of people that it was impacting the most.

Because if you’re going to do yoga and you’re not a Christian, it’s a whole different thing than if you’re going to do yoga and a Christian. But we aren’t even talking about that. We’re just talking about the children. It’s like, so if someone came at me, you know, oh, do you think since I’m a Christian I shouldn’t be doing yoga? You know what? That’s between you and God. That’s not between you. Go to your yoga class. Pray and ask God. And I can’t tell you how many people have come back to me and said, oh, It was clear, not doing it

ever again. And I was like, okay, because it’s not up to me to tell them. And I, you know, I really explained that in the beginning of the book. And I think all of us that speak about it at all, when people ask us questions, and that’s the key, we don’t ever just go out and talk about it. You know, we have to be asked. Because it’s such a, you know, lightning rod issue for some reason. But why? Why is it lightning rod? And when I dug and dug and dug, what I found is a possibility. Is it possible? I mean, when people talk about there’s going to end up being a one world religion, How is that possible when nobody agrees on the different aspects of religion? Even some that are

close don’t agree on certain things. So there’s only one way to have a one-world religion, and that is that we don’t know it’s a religion. So is that possibly what the intent with yoga was with these people? I don’t know. But they wanted to spread it through all the schools, and I believed them. I believed their mission on their websites, and so did hundreds of other people. So that’s why we battled it. And so today it’s still spreading. It’s still there. COVID kind of affected it at first. It wasn’t happening. Then they started doing it on video, which was still not as effective spiritually as they would like. But it’s back in the schools, and it’s in at least eight states. in a different form because our lawsuit did, even though we lost, which doesn’t

really, it wouldn’t surprise anybody knowing California politics, and it doesn’t really ruin

the aspects of that in the book because Seven chapters are on the seven days in court, six days with the first level, and then we go to the appellate level, and I kind of condense 300 pages of notes down into 30, and I make it humorous. We talk about leadership and laughter. We’ve got to laugh, because if you aren’t laughing, you’re going to be crying over some of these things. You look at when you speak out, you do get a lot of flack. But on the other hand, these are children we had to protect. So we knew we would be protected in that pursuit. And we were in many ways. And

you became you guys were the target because you were the voice you were exposing.

And I’m going to suggest the school board. These are parents in our communities that have been compromise, if I would say, just because they get on these boards and become this, you know, I’ll protect you, you protect me, scratch your back, you know, kind of a thing, a good old boy kind of a group. Right. That’s the way we’d say it in Texas. Yeah, so you said you followed the money. So was the school board Were the school district getting the kickback?

Well, the $4 million really came into the school and most of it was funneled to

paying the teachers. But then again, the people that were doing, you know, you find the

superintendent, his buddies with the guy who’s holding all the curriculum. And so there’s a lot of intertwining. I mean, we even have flow charts on the website of of, you know, who paid who, and, you know, okay, maybe they didn’t take money, but three of their buddies got the contracts for this, and why are we flowing money from the school district to a third party to the yoga teachers? there’s a reason. So it all got very complicated very quickly. And so we tried to find ways to simplify the information and just lay it out for, you know, follow this, and here’s where it goes.

And really, you know, in the end, and how Why did we not go to the Supreme Court? Because I thought we were going to and then really the attorney said we’re not going to win there either. This needs to be filed nationally and probably through another state, through another family, through another really you know, we need to come from different angles. So ever since then,we’ve had our website up, we get emails, we get calls, we got lots of calls from former yogis, and current yogis that had a lot of information, I have a whole page on what the yogis are saying, and what they’re, you know, basically their testimonies of what happened to them. And so, it’s

really… when you say what happened to them as a result of being a teacher or as a

result of this whole program? And are they being, do they feel like they’re being compromised

too?

So not, not the teachers from the district, but yoga teachers. Yes. That either

taught in our country or other countries and over time where demonic things would happen to them and they had to leave. But they either became a Christian or were a Christian before. And again, that’s very important to state because if this is your religion, it’s a whole different thing than if you profess to believe in Jesus and now you’re doing this, it’s something that And again,

there’s going to be a lot of Christians who say, wait, I do yoga. Well, you probably do stretching and breathing. You probably aren’t doing some of the things and you would know if you were and you would, um, there’s a great yogi on our website called, um, named Jessica and she explains it so well because she, start off life as a Christian and then she started getting deeper and deeper and deeper into yoga and She even speaks that I got I went to an event in Oregon where she spoke with

her mom and her mom was praying for her the whole time and She shares all that happened to her and I got to see that one firsthand and it really showed me the depth of where this could lead for children because they’re being indoctrinated. That’s the only word you can say, is if they start off in kindergarten doing yoga and have to do it every week, every year, for seven years, and every teacher and every principal along the way, they’re condoning it if they allow it,

which, you know, it was, if you’re a Christian, be silenced. Don’t fight this. And so the

Christian teachers would come to me behind the scenes and say, I’m in support of what you’re doing, but I’m not allowed to talk to you anymore. Like all the teachers in the school. And I headed up the jog-a-thon, which was the number one. I wasn’t part of the whole moms group that runs the school. I can’t remember the name of it.

PTA.

PTA. I wasn’t involved in PTA because I worked. But I did a lot of volunteering and

then I ended up doing the jog-a-thon because it was their number one fundraiser for the year. So the principal loved me the year before that because I had doubled the income just by giving kids prizes and I learned that through a WANA program. which is in churches and it’s a kids program and they do prizes and kids get so excited about these two and three and five dollar prizes. Well, we

went from an average sale of 30 to 100 because we said, okay, if you sell, you know, if you get $100 in fundraising, you’ll get this $5 little toy. Well, the kids went for it. So my point is she loved me the year before and then all of a sudden she wouldn’t talk to me. So we got some interesting treatment at the school and left the school over it, but we couldn’t leave the district. And this is another thing we never knew upon filing. You needed a young child to be the plaintiff. Yeah, we’re the petitioners. The plaintiff had to be a young child because this was going to take

Years.

which we didn’t understand nobody understood but my daughter was only in second

grade at the time and This is the most interesting part my daughter’s name. Her name is Faith So we learned really early on this isn’t about yoga. This is about faith. This is about what’s going on in the schools and trying to get faith out and drive it out and so

Well, we’ve got the fight of good, I believe, 100%. Everything we see now,

everything is good versus evil. There’s no doubt in my mind. I’m outrageously optimistic. I know that God wins. God has already won. But Satan’s having his way, right? He’s having his last ditch chaos, effort, fear, divisiveness, all those things that are continuing to plague us. But I believe it’s slowly coming. If I didn’t believe that, it would not be a fun life. And I think so many people are walking around angry and upset all the time and ready to be offended all the time, a spirit of offense. So I feel like that’s what faith gives

us. It gives us the confidence. I mean, we’re operating out of victory, not victim.

We do understand there are going to be martyrs. And we understand that what happened to Charla Kirk was, you know, he was standing up. He was talking about religion and politics and all this stuff we’re not supposed to talk about in public or whatever. But with all the silencing that went over, all those years. You know, it’s interesting he was able to build his, you know,

fellowship with all these kids learning in college that, hey, you know, you don’t have to throw away. I mean, I went to Berkeley as a Christian. I had to hide it. I was silenced back then. But I was also very intellectual to look at, well, what is this argument? Okay, let’s look at… you know, anthropology, and let’s look at, you know, all the classes you took to really piece together. And in the end, it just made Christianity even more solid for me, you know, and this was kind of

before all the teachings, you know, there’s just Apologetics is taught so eloquently now.

Well, we didn’t have that back then as much or I wasn’t privy to it and I didn’t come from a family teaching me that. I had to find it on my own or found it on my own for whatever reason, but…

Well, you define apologetics. There’s probably a lot of people that wouldn’t know

what that…

It’s

just

understanding what you know, what the Bible is saying in many ways, and really

understanding the basics of it, and how to be able to articulate it, and how to be… Because you look at a Charla, Kirk, and he speaks so plainly, and so clearly about it. And so, he would be very far on the level of apologetics, where you feel most people feel like they can’t really explain it and might even try to write it off of, well, it’s a personal thing. It’s a private thing. Well, it’s also a community thing. It’s also, you know, we’re encouraged to go to church and learn and all that. So, but you can pick up any book on apologetics and people can learn what that is.

Just not being apologetic for your faith is that True, true.

But be able to articulate what you mean. And that’s hard. It’s hard when it comes to

faith, because maybe we don’t know every argument or every, you know, and people want to argue about stuff. And that’s where I think it’s really important that we just share our testimony. What happened to you? Why did you, you know, why was I raised in a non-churchgoing,non-Christian family that Then I became a Christian. No one can argue with my story.

That’s what happened to me. You know, I had a babysitter who constantly talked to me about Jesus. It was all over her house, all over with her children. I saw a love I’d never understood or seen before. And eventually, you know, it took me a long time. I’m stubborn, but eventually, you know, she’s the one who prayed me into Christ. You know, that’s my story. not anything someone can argue with. But if you say, you know, God is love and God is the founder of love, someone’s going to argue with you about that if you came to see what I’m saying.

Yeah. And I say that’s my message is unconditional love. Love is God. Love loves,

you know, he loves you no matter who and where you are, no matter what, no matter if you’re in the gutter. He loves you if you’re in the castle or in the gutter or in the, you know, right. Well, places in prison he loves. If God is love, he can’t be not love. That’s one way I say that because I believe that we’ve been sometime the fundamental that I was raised was this big old mean judgment God. And I’ve learned that I like having the peace that passes understanding. I like having that, you know, I’m good. I’m loved and I don’t have to prove anything. Right, right. And that’s kind of the Old Testament

versus New Testament. It’s like when people say, oh, well, there’s certain rules.

And it’s like, well, but that’s Old Testament. The New Testament, he wiped that away and said, here’s the new plan, the new way. It was called the way for a long time. And when we talk about all of this with this book that you can see behind me, The website is called truthaboutyoga.com, so we wanted to pull out what are the truths. What is the truth? We kept seeking the truth and asking the truth and trying to dig and find, and so that’s what’s in the book and that’s what’s in the website.

But my ministry became apparent right after that, and it’s called Saving Faith

Ministry. And the tagline is shining the light on darkness. And there were kind of three layers to it, because saving Faith represented my daughter’s name is Faith. And she was about to do years and years of yoga, unbeknownst to what the issues were. And so saving her and all the kids in Encinitas was kind of one layer, but also saving potentially Christians from doing it that don’t know what they’re doing.

They haven’t looked at it. They haven’t thought about it. So, kind of layering it there, but also saving people from falling away from their beliefs and would that take them on a path away from that, but also saving You know saving faith saving people that aren’t saved. So there’s kind of multi-layered to it in the beginning. In fact, I have a little mug here even one of them it’s And if you see I don’t know if you could see real close. This is a little girl so there’s even a little girl on the in the

And the logo, so Saving Faith is the logo, because people are not watching and

listening. It’s a nice coffee mug that has a logo

on it. So that’s kind of an umbrella to, yes, in the ministry, Truth About Yoga is in

it, but there will be other ministries under that as well. And I want to go back to, you talked about the apologetics. That program AWANA is Approved Workers Are Not Ashamed. And so that’s kind of a similar saying, and it’s on Timothy 15 something. And so it’s really the name of the program, and it teaches Bible verses, and then they have a time of activities, you know, different games, and then a teaching time. And it’s something that a lot of churches do across the country. It’s actually international, so we were involved in that for a while, too.

Okay, well that’s, yeah, A-W-A-N-A. Yeah. That makes

sense. In case people have young kids and want to see a great program, because that

really gets the word in their heart, so. I

want to ask one, this last thing about that, and that is, you lost the case, so are

elementary schools in your county or school district required? to yoga still?

Yes.

Okay. Due to

our actions, we were able to get them to allow you to opt out. But opting out at that

point meant you’re sitting on an iPad in the corner of the yoga room, or down the hall by yourself.

An ostracized. An

ostracized. But think about, okay, so I had a sixth grade little boy at the time, and

he got out of yoga. And think about that. Think about, they come to school in whatever they’re wearing. You’re not putting on yoga clothes. Whatever they’re wearing, sixth grade boys and girls going into a small dark room, bending over in front of each other. I mean, this is the height, starting the whole sexual time of their life. So, but, Boys in sixth grade, they don’t  want to do yoga. So they thought my son was the coolest. He got, hey, will you have your mom talk to

My mom and get me out of yoga? I mean, so ostracized in some ways, but also, you know, there were a lot of kids getting opted out that the other kids wish they would have, you know, because a lot of young little boys, they don’t want to sit around and stretch. They want to go run. They want to hit a ball. They want to shoot a basket.

Yeah, it’s so much bigger and deeper than I think most of us could dare to imagine. So

on your website or on truthaboutyoga.com it has the court case, your book is about the court case and about what led up to that and all that.

And it’s on Amazon, so easy to look up.

Yoga Crisis in America, wake up call to protect the children. So I’m going to take

just a little mini moment. We’re going to take a tiny break here to talk about something that I’m so passionate about, and that is inflammation and your omegas being out of balance. And 99% of Americans are. Not a balance. So we’re gonna take a quick break and we’ll insert a little, my little commercial in here and we’ll be right back with the Jennifer Sedlock. Alrighty then, we’re back and I’m so excited to be back. I’m gonna say charlaanderson.com/Zinzino,

Z-I-N-Z-I-N-O / Zinzino because I don’t think it’s mentioned out loud on the commercial.

So, Oh, and I want to just take my little shot of beautiful golden omega oils. One second solution per day will absolutely get you back in balance. It’s proven with the test. Cheers. So we’re back. So what’s next for you? I feel like this topic, it’s kind of sad to me that, that they can’t see that we’re, the courts, you know, California’s got that reputation. We have shirts in Texas that say, don’t California my Texas, right? So. We’re not all bad in California. No, I haven’t seen most, the vast majority, probably or not, but that’s another story.

Well, and as you can see, we did the t-shirts for the kids that say, I miss P.E.

because we found a positive way to say it because we’re not trying to diss something. We’re trying to say, you know, just options at least, I think. Absolutely. Let them opt out and do something else. But yeah. But what’s next? You know, the book was published right when the pandemic started. So, You know, it was kind of a crazy time because it took a long time to get the book published.

It takes a long time to write a book. And when you’re a busy mom and you’re working, I mean, I literally wrote the book one hour every morning. That’s just kind of what I did. And I started it on a vacation. It’s just to fit that kind of thing in your life when you’re

also dealing with all kinds of things. We’re still doing speaking events. We were doing

educational events. We’re still researching. There was a lot going on. My kids were busy. We’re a big sports family.

I was at lots of basketball games and volleyball games. in the mix of this became a coach because my boys did move to a different school and they moved out of the Encinitas school system and then they needed a cross-country and drag coach so I got very involved every afternoon with high school boys and girls and that was a lot of fun while continuing to work, you know, this. I have since, I did that for about seven years and like i said in the i think i told you before we started i’m gonna be a grandma in a few in like two or three weeks which is shocking and exciting and all of that so i don’t know what that brings um but work-wise and what i’ve been working on lately is for with Saving Faith Ministry, working with some other speakers and getting a whole group together where we’ll be doing some live events. We’re really trying to Ignite

Women and really come in and support them from wherever they are. And why is the

target women? I think that’s just where we can make a difference. Some of us that just have some common goals. But when people have told me or said, you know, like, what are the best qualities about you? It was really inspiring and informing and igniting. and these kinds of words came up and as I get excited about something, you know, some of your friends get excited about it or whatever and so that’s where I think things are headed but I’m really open to.

I didn’t plan to be a leader in Iwana and I ended up the commander for a couple of years and served there for 10 years. Never intended to do that. I didn’t intend to do this whole yoga battle. I didn’t intend to, I’d always dreamed of being a high school cross country and track coach. Love that, that was fun. But I didn’t intend on it and my work and my family wasn’t conducive to it. until that very moment and

then it became, it just worked, you know, because my kids games were a little later in the day, I could do practice, I could do even track meets and cross-country meets were during the day, my kids basketball games were at night, so, you know, I think It worked. Life happens while we have plans and the plans don’t necessarily

work out. As long as we keep moving and taking a next

right

step, the next right step, we don’t have to know the end. We don’t know the end from

the beginning. We

don’t. And we don’t know how enjoyable the journey might be. So I’m open to whatever

God’s will is. You know, do you want me to go here and do this or go there and do that? And, you know, we’re our work. For many of us, our work is our service. Our service is our work. You know, I don’t know. We’ll see. Stay

tuned. Yeah, no kidding. I do believe that you put something, you know, you really,

you had a dream of doing something and you ended up getting to do it, we’ve probably rarely even spoke it. It was just something in the back of your mind. If I mean, I’ve never thought in one time in my life that I want to be a track and field coach. No, I never showed up. So I mean, yeah, I believe God is working in warp speed right now to really just bring forth that, you know, some of his some of our prayers right and get answered without with not we don’t have to have a lot of input into it other than the prayer. Interesting to think about that. Yeah.

Thought about that in a way, that way. But we’ve got just a few more minutes. And this always goes fast. And I just think you’re so delightful. You’re so articulate. You’re so ready to just do what you do, right? And you do it well. I’m glad. Oh, thank you. Yeah. And it’s really fun to see. Is it your youngest child having the grandbaby?

It is. Yeah, surprisingly. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. You never know what’s going to happen. But it’s a blessing and it’s just been a delight watching her become a mom before my eyes. It’s really amazing to watch that happen. yeah looking forward to that and my husband and I just scooted off to Italy it was kind of our first out of the country trip like that and did one of those whirlwind tours and it was just fabulous so

fabulous I love Italy oh my goodness yes I haven’t I haven’t done a lot of traveling

in a while. So I was a flight attendant 34 years. I did a lot of traveling.

I saw that. Yes,

that’s great. It was a great career for me, but I retired 17 years ago. So it’s, you

know, it’s been a minute, but yeah, so we, you know, but I loved, I went on a cruise in

Mediterranean before I retired. And it was so amazing.

Mechanized

Santorini, you know, oh my goodness.

Yeah. So anyway, that was good. It gives us perspective,

too. And I have this. I’m the founder of Texas. If anybody wants to know about an

honest money crypto on on U.S. soil, all mined in Texas, I’m a miner and you can buy some TXC coin and probably do a pretty good win there. Or you can talk to me and become a miner. and get coins every single day for 137 years. And the reason I said that is the founder of Texas, Bobby Brown, Bobby Gray, I’m wrong color. Bobby Gray lives in McKinney, Texas. But he raised his children in Asia. And he’s like, he called it world schooling.

And I love that term. I was like, I want to take my almost four-year-old grandbaby take her world schooling, let’s go travel, let’s go find places around the world and figure things out. And I just thought that was a very great term for homeschooling is one thing, but world schooling is another. Let’s get out there and meet

people. Yeah, yeah, I love travel of any kind. I mean, I love traveling for work for

going and speaking at events. I mean, you just meet so many fascinating people from all over and every industry is so different. And that’s that’s why I like doing the Myers-Briggs because it’s.

Everybody has such a different style and when they start to realize, oh, other people aren’t trying to annoy me. They’re just being themselves. It’s so fun to open up a whole group to that. Well, let’s

address that because Myers-Briggs, explain what Myers-Briggs is. There are

probably people that have heard of it and don’t know or have never heard of it.

Yeah, it’s a personality inventory and it sorts you into categories based on your

answers and it’s It forces a choice by the way they designed it. So even if you’re kind of on the fence, it will give you an indicator of where you lie. And it’s just so much fun to work with people on it. I mean, I do basically a workshop that explains each area of preference. There’s four areas of preference. I explain give examples, then I do an activity where I break them up. Let’s do the extroverts go over here, introverts over here, and they do an activity and they see it. They’re like, oh, those guys were so quiet. And these guys are like, yeah, they wouldn’t show up And it’s just, we play with it and make fun of some of the intricacies of it, because that’s how you learn. I mean, we learn through humor too. And then, you know, we do a debrief of that area, and then we do that four times through the areas of preference. And then we do team building with it,

if you’re a group that’s working together. And it’s just so fun because people that are

completely skeptical starting off, by three hours later, they’re like, this is great. I can use

this tomorrow at work. And particularly leaders and managers of, you know, when you’re looking at a bunch of different people that you manage, you need to be managing them differently because they are different. You’re managing out of your style. I call it leading beyond your own style

and selling beyond your own style and managing beyond your own style. And I have a whole series of them because, and even parenting beyond your own style. We can’t parent every child the same. We can have the same standards, but they each have different needs. One needs more hugs. One needs more, you know, quality time. One needs, you know, you look back at, you know, what, John Gray’s five love languages. There’s so many layers to it. So Myers-Briggs is just one more layer.

Yeah, I love that. Ziggler Legacy Certified Trainer and they have DISC, which is

very

similar as far as the concept of personality traits. And it’s been called so many

things, but basically they’re four, right? And I, every time I’ve done it, I’ve gone, it’s like,

okay, who’s gonna, who’s the outgoing one over here? And I’m like, yeah, that’s me. And then I come back. And then I’m going, no, that’s not me. I’m always in the DIS, the S, you know, I’m like, no, I like to have fun and personality, but I’m the home, you know, I want to, yeah, you know, comfort or whatever it is. I don’t remember the term, but yeah, so those, all of those things are valuable to for insights into who you are and who others are and how to.

Right. How to

communicate.

Yes.

And saying the same thing to three different people it comes across as completely

different. Right. Depending on their receptors. Right. So you’ve got a whole bunch to offer and it’s so fun to get to know you and and have we had a lot of you know touched on a lot of different things here. I’ll just say that from my perspective when I you know I came in we come in with a breathing exercise and a lot of yoga is about breathing and I don’t I think that it could be misunderstood right so it could be misunderstood that you’re against yoga or exercise or

breathing or all those.

No, I’m all for

the agenda behind.

Right. And I was an aerobics instructor. I was an aerobics instructor for years

when I was in my 20s. And, you know, in came, you know, step aerobics and in came, you know, other things. But when yoga came in, there was a difference. We, we, we sensed a difference. It’s very interesting. But, you know, it’s really, I think when you talk about forced breathing and how are you impacting the breathing and are you trying to change the flow like you think about even acupuncture and all that. you’re changing the flow. And so when you’re trying to do that, but when you’re taking in a deep breath, or, you know, as Christians, we meditate, we

need it, we pray, you know, be still, is certainly biblical. And I think we could do a

whole lot more of that and get rid of, you know, take a few minutes quite right every time, and several times a day to take a breath and go, you know, it settles us, it’s there’s, then it can be a prayer right in there, that little moment. So Well, we’re going to have to go. I want to, how do people find you? This is the last bit. Jennifer Sedlock.com

or no, Jennifer speaks. Jennifer speaks. Not my last name. It’s S P E. Yeah.

Jennifer, the usual. And then I F E R S P E A K S.com.

Okay. I knew that. And the truth about yoga.com and I’m sure you’re on all social

media and this and that. So, um, I am so grateful to have had this conversation. I knew we had talked a little bit, but I think this is impactful. This agenda, this thing going into our schools, this is me. I was very apathetic, so to speak, about being involved in school boards and precinct chairs, and I believe that we’ve Oh, I just let those politician people do it. Well, they they infiltrated all the way up to the,

you know, I was the same. Yeah, I’ve never been to a board

meeting. I don’t I had I’m raising my kids. I don’t have time for all that. Well,

right. And none of us did. But we made an agenda. There is

an agenda. And it’s been much, much longer than we’ve been here. So that that trying

to take control of our freedom and our children.

Right. And it’s shifting and there’s, you know, there’s things they’re battling

today that we weren’t battling then. And so, you know, a lot of times I watch some of those battles and pray and people will call and ask about that in regards to our stuff. And I’ll say, but that’s not our battle. You know, that’s a different one. And there’s plenty of

battles out there.

And yet it’s indoctrination of the children. I mean, it’s it’s the same. You go back

to how did how have things risen up in countries? It’s because you target the children and you you. I think we’re seeing a lot of hate because, you know, our students in college have been, you know, forced to go through classes. Divisiveness

is their

agenda. Teaching them to hate America.

I’m like, Where did, I mean, how, what, I can’t even imagine it, but, and there’s

real human Americans teaching these things. So they’ve been indoctrinated too. So the

agenda

is real, the agenda toโ€ฆ

But it all comes down to what you said in the beginning, the good and evil. It just

comes down to that. And when you have that foundation of understanding, it makes perfect sense. I mean, the enemy is going to slide in like a slithering snake any way he can.

And he’s a master at it. Well, Jennifer, thanks so much. We’re going to have to shut

her down. And

I am so grateful for your

time today. And y’all subscribe and like my channel and find Jennifer and let’s

make the world a better place, like my mama said. And always, always, always choose joy.
